Nigerian Afrobeats singer-cum-clergyman, Bankole Wellington, aka Banky W, has seemingly responded to the cheating allegations against him.
It would be recalls that a controversial blog, Gistlover, had insinuated that the singer is cheating on his wife, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington with his former signee, Niyola.
But addressing his congregation at the Waterbrooks church in Lagos on Sunday, Banky told the congregation that the devil did not want them to listen to the message he was about to preach.
According to him, there was an attack when he started the series he had been preaching and also at that moment, presumably referring to the cheating allegations.
The pastor assured his people that the devil that had been trying is a liar and God is in control.
He said,
“The devil really didn’t want you to hear this message. In fact, he didn’t want us to enter into this series at all. There was an attack at the beginning, but here we are. But the devil is a liar. And God is in control”
Preaching on the topic, ‘The Prison Of Pornography’, Banky W appreciated his wife, Adesua, for supporting him during his struggle with porn addiction.
“If I don’t thank God for anything in my life, I thank God for this woman [pointing at Adesua].”
