NSCDC arrests four armed robbery suspects in Jigawa

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC in Dutse Local Government, Jigawa has detained four alleged armed robbers.

This was revealed in a statement sent to DAILY POST by CSC. Adamu Shehu, spokesman for the Jigawa State NSCDC command.

According to him, the suspects have been harassing the Takur Addu’a community in the Dutse city and its surroundings.

The suspects are inhabitants of Dutse’s Takur Addu’a, Unguwar Gabas, and Unguwar Bare-Bari Kachi Quarters, respectively: Emmanuel Aliyu, Yusuf Sale, Yunusa Muazu, and Hassan Umar.

He stated that the suspects colluded and forced entry into the home of one Umar Yunusa, a member of the NSCDC personnel, while he was asleep before being apprehended.

Adamu said that once one of the suspects was apprehended, the other gang members were also apprehended thanks to an exhibit they had left behind during the operation.

Following an inquiry, the suspects admitted to terrorizing Takur Addu’a and the surrounding area while using cutlasses and knives to assault and rob the locals.

In accordance with sections 298, 96, 342, and 346 of the Penal Code, respectively, burglary, criminal conspiracy, trespass, and robbery are all suspected crimes, according to Adamu.

After all investigations are complete, he declared, “The suspects will be charged to a court of competent jurisdiction for prosecution.”
