Paris Saint-Germain Forward, Kylian Mbappe has refuted rumors that he plans to leave the team in January.
The 24-year-old said that he was shocked by the information.
“I never requested to leave in January.
“I didn’t grasp the information that was released on the day of the [Champions League match versus Benfica]. After PSG’s 1-0 victory over Marseille in Ligue 1 on Sunday.
Mbappe told reporters: “I am not engaged in this information, neither directly nor indirectly.
It was said that Mbappe wanted to leave the Ligue 1 winners as soon as possible because he felt “betrayed” by PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
“Like everyone else, I was equally surprised by this news. Although some people might believe I’m involved, I’m not.
“While my entourage was at my little brother’s game, I was sleeping. When we learned, we were astounded.
“We had a game to play, so we had to deal with it later. I simply wanted to clarify that it’s entirely untrue and that I’m content right here, Mbappe said.
