Grammy Award Winner, Wizkid’s official disk jockey, Michael Babatunde Adeyinka, better known as DJ Tunez has detailed how difficult it is to work with the artiste.
Dj Tunez joined Starboy record label in 2015, and since then has been an integral part of Wizkid’s success, as he is in charge of DJ duties in Wizkid’s shows in and out of the country.
Tunez, who has also collaborated with Wizkid, explained how difficult it is to work with the artiste, who has a busy schedule and very selective on collaborations.
“First of all, it has to be a really good song. It has to relate with him [Wizkid]. So, any song that I’m trying to put him on, I say, ‘hey, how do you feel about it? I feel like it relates with you,” Tunez said in an Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Shopsydoo.
He continued, “If he is down for it, you know he is down for it. He is not easy to work with. You gotta have to take your time jejely. But he has blessed me. I don’t know who else has these many collaborations with him. I appreciate all the love he shows me.”
