Adeogun Moshood Feyisetan pka FEYI has been elected as the New President of the Student Union Government, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye Ogun state.
Feyi, a 500 Level Student of Faculty of Law who scored 3072 votes defeated his closest rival, Oliyide Damilare pka Holy Dami who scored 1315 votes, followed by Bakare Falilat pka Her Excellency who scored 775 Votes.
The election which was conducted using electronic voting on the designated portal started at 12:00pm and ended 4:00pm today, 22nd December, 2022.
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT FEYISETAN ADEOGUN
Feyisetan Adeogun is an outstanding 500-level student of the OOU faculty of law. He is an innate leader with top-notch experience and a relatable spirit.
Before contesting for the post of OOUSUG President. He has proven himself to be an exemplary leader, no wonder he has the widest range of supporters.
Feyi does not only have promises but plans that he has been executing right from the wake of his aspiration. His aspiration is not borne out of personal interest but as a result of proffering solutions to the constant needs of the student populace.
Feyi, yet as President has achieved a lot like the provision of free buses, incessant consultation of the school management on student-related issues like portal extension and results palaver, agitations against oppression, donation of a wild animal to the zoology department with a subsequent recommendation from the school management.
‼️Three Main Things To Be Expected From The New SUG President Are;
1. REVITALIZATION OF IDEOLOGICAL STRUCTURE OF STUDENT UNIONISM
The apparent primary function of student unionism is pressed agitations, speaking for the oppressed and becoming a voice of the voiceless. Feyi would adhere strictly to the 3Cs of aluta by also putting students’ welfare first.
He also has a vision of repositioning the ideological system of OOUSUG on the right track for the overall benefit of the students.
2. CONSOLIDATED TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
One of the major promises of Feyi is to actualize improved transportation for all OOUITES. Problems like incessant hikes in bus prices, limited buses and poor transportation systems have prevailed immemorial, in a recent interview by one of the school media outlets, Feyi promised of renewing the current quagmire for an effective one.
3. FEEDBACK MECHANISM
Feyi promised that if he emerges, he would keep the electorates updated on day to day activities of his administration. He also promised in his manifesto that there would be a suggestion box at the Student Union building on any complaint whatsoever.
