Ogunsanya Bamidele Peter pka Sen. Pizzle has been Elected as the 36th President of the Student Union Government, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye.
According to the released results by the ECO, Sen. Pizzle, a 400-Level Student of Biology Education from the Faculty of Education was declare the winner of the OOU SUG Presidential Position after scoring a total 2418 votes, defeating his counterpart, Adeagbo Ganiu A. pka Sen. Ganiu who poll 1857 total votes.
The election which was conducted using Electronic Voting on the University designated portal started at 11:00am and ended 4:00pm today, 28th September, 2023.
Earlier this morning, Ogunmakinju Oluwaseun Adeyemi aka Enzaim, one of the leading candidates during the Campaign steps down from contesting for the Union President due to a reason best known to him which he claimed was for the betterment of all OOUITES.
The election was largely acclaimed to be free and fair as we are yet to get a report of any malpractice or irregularities.
