Tammy Abraham Enjoys Life In Rome With Glamorous Girlfriend

Tammy Abraham was once again AS Roma’s hero when his 90th-minute strike fired the Giallorossi into the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League.

Abraham left boyhood Chelsea for the Italian capital last summer – to the tune of Β£35million. And the Englishman has quickly established himself as a star in the Serie A, earning himself the nickname ‘The Gladiator’.

And with the Stadio Olimpico chanting his name, Abraham is loving his new life in Italy as Roma’s main talisman. Both Abraham and his girlfriend Leah Monroe have settled into the Italian way of life – and the locals have loved them for it.

The couple were spotted touring the Colosseum – one of Rome’s most famous spots from the Roman era.

Abraham and Monroe are also spotted eating out on the town regularly, and they were seated next to some Roma fans one evening after crashing out of the Coppa Italia. After politely expressing their disappointment at the loss, Abraham paid their bill.

While the striker also regularly posts snaps of the city on his Instagram story – one, showing a panoramic video of Rome, was captioned: “What a city!”

However, the Romans have still joked that Abraham still has ‘English ways’ despite his last six months in Italy.

Italian journalists were left bemused when the Englishman ordered a cappuccino at a bar in the city centre after eating an eggplant parmigiana for his dinner.

Italians only drink cappuccinos before 11am.

Abraham is part of a new wave of English talent that has looked to broaden their horizons beyond the Premier League.

Jadon Sancho, after becoming disillusioned with game time at Manchester City, moved to Borussia Dortmund, where he was joined by Jude Bellingham. While Kieran Tripper spent time at Atletico Madrid before returning to England’s top flight.

And Abraham isn’t the only Englishman at Roma, Chris Smalling and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are also in the Eternal City.

While Abraham has been in red hot form for the Giallorossi, earning an England call-up in the process.

It’s Abraham’s acceptance of Italian life, and attempts to earn the language, that has made Rome fall in love with the striker.
