Bamise To Get Posthumous Award For Her Heroics

Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR, Lagos State Branch has promised to honour the late 22-year-old Oluwabamise Anyawola following her heroics before death.

Bamise had recorded her last moments on phone after sensing danger just before boarding a Bus Rapid Transit popularly called ā€˜BRT busā€™, at the Chevron area of Lekki enroute to Oshodi on February 25, 2022.

In a series of voice notes exchanged between Bamise and a friend, which were shared on social media, she was heard telling the friend in Yoruba that the bus stopped to pick her up but did not pick other passengers.

Following her courageous step before death, the Lagos State Chairman of CDHR, Comrade Kehinde Adeoye told newsmen during a world press conference held recently in the State that the deceased would be given a posthumous award for making such a bold step that he described as ā€œcourageous and well commendable effortā€.
