Presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Peter Obi says Nigerian youths are highly talented but their potential is not being properly utilised for the good of the country.
He said that internet fraudsters commonly known as ‘Yahoo Boys’ can turn the ICT sector around and by extension the economy with the right leader at the helm of affairs.
Obi stated this on Arise TV’s Morning Show on Tuesday morning while fielding questions ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The former Anambra state governor revealed that India also had a ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ problem until a bright-minded leader decided to channel the youths talent in the right direction and now India leads the world in tech.
He said that with the right leadership, Yahoo Boys would use their tech-savvy brains to transform Nigeria and even surpass India.
