Tunisia were essentially the last team to make it into the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 which saw them set tie with the Super Eagles of Nigeria

The Carthage Eagles conceded a last-minute winner against the Gambia in their final Group F. It saw them finish third.

They will now face Nigeria for a place in the quarter-final.

The Super Eagles, on the other hand, were the outstanding team of the group stages. The three-time champions finished with the maximum nine points and have been installed as new favourites to win the trophy.

In a tournament where Ghana and defending champions Algeria have been sent packing, Nigeria and host Cameroon seem to be the name on everyone’s lips. But football is decided on the pitch.
