Barcelona face Real Betis in the semi final of the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia on Thursday evening as Xavi Hernandez’s men aim to continue their unbeaten start to 2023.

The Blaugrana are favourites to progress to Sunday’s showpiece although they should be given a competitive fixture by a Betis team currently fourth in La Liga.

Los Verdiblancos beat Barcelona 1-0 at the Camp Nou in La Liga last season, while their meeting in Seville saw Barca score in injury time to secure a 2-1 win.
