The 142nd FA Cup Final will, for the first time, be a derby between Manchester City and Manchester United.
The local rivals already have a piece of silverware in the bag this season. United picked up the Carabao Cup before City retained the Premier League. United are now aiming to win both domestic cups in the same season for the first time.
There are not only bragging rights on offer for United. They must also win to stop City’s seemingly inevitable march to a famous Treble – matching United’s own famous success from 1999.
Erik ten Hag could also win a domestic double after securing the Carabao Cup back in February. It has not been an easy debut season for the Dutch manager, but a return to the Champions League along with two trophies would certainly be a success.
