Cameroon will grind to a halt on Thursday as the host nation seek their place in the final of AFCON 2021 when they take on Egypt at the Paul Biya Stadium in Yaoundé.
The 2017 champions fell at the last 16 stage two years ago and will be desperate to provide home fans with glory when the final is staged in the same arena on 6 February, where the winner of the first semi-final between Burkina Faso and Senegal will await.
The Indomitable Lions have lived up to their name so far at the tournament, going through the group stage and two rounds of knock-outs unbeaten, although the hosts were given an almighty scare by surprise package Comoros in the last 16.
No side scored more in the group stage then the hosts’ seven and in Vincent Aboubakar (6) and Karl Toko Ekambi (5) the Lions have the two tournament top scorers heading into the showdown with Egypt.
