Burkina Faso are aiming to go one better than their runners-up performance in 2013 and a third-placed finish in 2017 at AFCON 2021 and will face Senegal in the first semi-final in their bid to add a first continental crown to their laurels.
Senegal went into the tournament among the favourites but hardly impressed in the group stage, scoring only once from the penalty spot as the Lions of Teranga benefited from a weak set of opponents.
Burkina Faso went through in second place behind host nation Cameroon with a draw, a win and a defeat, scoring three and conceding three.
