Ace Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has revealed that he didn’t formally inform his father that he was an aspiring artiste.
Speaking in an interview on Famouz Timez, he talked about how he was scared to tell his father, Deji Adeleke about his passion for music.
According to Davido, his family has laid down rules regarding career and work, such that whenever each of them graduate from the University, his father either employs them in one of his companies or gets the person a job in a firm owned by one of his rich friends.
He said that he was the first person to actually branch out of the family tradition and go into entertainment, even though his dad would not have approved.
The Fem crooner also revealed that it was from other people his father got to know that he was doing music at the time.
Davido said that he had a full studio in his room which Mr Adeleke was unaware of, and he often recorded songs when the businessman goes to work.
He explained further that he usually makes sure to finish recording before he comes back from work and goes about his daily activities as though he did nothing out of the ordinary.
