A 19-year-old boy has proposed to his girlfriend on her 17th birthday with the help of friends in Benin City, Edo state.
He organised a surprise celebration for her in what looks like a hotel room with loads of gifts and a trumpeter to serenade her.
A video making the rounds online shows the moment he took her into the room and she expressed shock on seeing the money cake, birthday balloons and other gifts he got for her.
Without any delay, the boyfriend went on his knee and asked for his 17-year-old girlfriend’s hand in marriage.
The trumpeter was playing birthday and romantic tunes while friends gushed at the romantic display. She eventually accepted and stretched out her hand for him to put the engagement ring.
